i just tonight started the install of my GM style connectors. i got 3, just for the idle control valves. either i'm missing some part of the installation, or i've been delivered the wrong parts. i ground down the locator pin nice and flush, that is not the problem. the openings for each individual pin are obviously smaller on the GM style connector than on stock, and they are very stiff to get on/off. stiff to the point that if the plenum were on the car right now, i wouldn't be able to do it. 
has anyone actually done this successfully?
